BlueSkies for Children is a private, nonprofit 501(c)3 program founded in 1983 that is the only NAEYC-accredited child care center in Oakland, California. Their Annual Report provides stakeholders, BlueSkies Alumni and current BlueSkies families insight into the program’s activities, financial status and community impact.
BlueSkies’ current Annual Report template felt visually cramped, making it difficult to comprehend the information. Drawing inspiration from their website, newsletters and the child care center itself, I designed a new template that elevated the layout to a more contemporary, clean aesthetic. The template I designed presented the details of their annual report in a more accessible manner all while maintaining BlueSkies’ brand identity.
