western neighborhoods project annual appeal letter
2023

Western Neighborhoods Project (WNP) is a 501(c)3 California nonprofit organization, formed in 1999, that preserves and shares the history and culture of the neighborhoods in western San Francisco. Annual Appeal Letters are a tool used by many nonprofits to drum interest and ensure that their financial goals are met by the end of the year. Research has shown that donations increase from October to December.

I collaborated with the Director of WNP to design their Annual Appeal letter and social media campaign for 2023. It was important that the letter worked on both digital and physical print platforms, as some of their members prefer to operate in an analogue manner. They were also up against a tight deadline and needed the letter within a week to send out to their contacts. To achieve this, I used the template from the 2022 Annual Appeal to design a letter, a Mailchimp email and a digital ad that would be featured in a local online newspaper. I used the WNP logo and color palette to align with their brand identity and designed a layout that looked cohesive across platforms and sizes.
